If you choose to have 1-1 sessions with me, see the next section, which details what happens with your data.
Session Data: If you become a client of mine through 1-1 sessions, I will take relevant details during our sessions to enable me to deliver the best possible service to you. How data is collected
Newsletter subscription: Data is collected via my newsletter subscription form via my website, or by you signing up for my newsletter, or in an email exchange.
From enquiries about my services via the contact form on my website or by corresponding with me by phone, email or otherwise. This may be when you have made an enquiry about my services, during our sessions, or otherwise.
How data is stored

I am committed to ensuring that your information is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, all my equipment and software are password-protected to safeguard all the information I collect.
I have appointed a trusted professional colleague who works within the same ethical codes of conduct in case of serious illness or death. They would access your contact details to let you know if I was unable to continue working with you and to help signpost potential next steps for your continued evolution. They would respectfully close my practice, including the safe disposal of client notes and data. I recommend booking a session with one of my trusted Certified Body Poets or Certified RHI Supervisors www.relationalharminy.institute to hold space for the transformation of grief into poetry, should we find ourselves in this situation. This would be charged at their rate.
Your email address will be included in occasional newsletters where I might share new insights, poems, stories, Body Poem short films, my latest paintings, and information about courses and upcoming retreat dates in the UK. Professional Boundary Statement
Boundaries benefit both parties
Assumptions and inferences are the opposite of explicitly agreed boundaries.
A boundary is a relationship agreement to play and explore, honouring the limits of self and another. These naturally get stress-tested by aspects of the self that have not been part of the explicit agreements. Inferences often represent aspects that have not yet found their voice to be recognised. Katie brings 40 years of professional clinical experience to inform the working through of including exiled aspects of the self to confidently participate in co-created, harmonious, explicit relationship agreements, reducing prediction errors that consciously unacknowledged inferences contribute to.
I honour and adhere to The Wheel of Consent and RUOP (Right Use of Power) professional guidelines and codes of conduct.
The following are brief descriptions of boundaries in my professional relationship with you:
Material:
This includes quotes from you, testimonials, Demonstration videos, Body Poem recordings and films. Your explicit, willing agreement will be required to share any of these.
Physical:
These protect your personal space and privacy. I am a certified Wheel of Consent and Right Use of Power practitioner, and this informs all my sessions. Your personal space and need for privacy will be honoured in session, with facilitation to notice them and create agreements and practices to honour them.
Values, beliefs and emotions:
This is your right to have your own thoughts, emotions, values, beliefs, and opinions, even if they don’t align with someone else’s belief system. These belong to you, and other people’s belong to them. I practice radical acceptance of these emergent and objective absolutes in my professional practice, and they remain confidential within and beyond the boundaries of the therapeutic container.
Safety:
Sense of safety is unique and interpersonal for each of us, and perceived threats to safety may be projections from past times where safety was threatened. I am referring her to both perceived and actual physical safety boundaries in relation to intentions to cause physical harm. Any intentions to cause physical harm to yourself or another, regardless of your beliefs, values and opinions, will be contained within the therapeutic relationship with radical acceptance as they engage in processes to support them to find their resting place with sufficient completion of a sense of justice with radical acceptance within you to not act on them. I have a duty of care to bring to the attention of appropriate professionals who hold civil liberties and public safety authority and responsibility the communications you have shared with me that include intended, premeditated action to follow through, causing violent physical harm to yourself or another that cannot be resisted with sufficient response flexibility. Their codes of conduct, professional duty of care, and authority responsibilities will apply in these circumstances. This first communication is likely to be with your GP, with your pre-agreed consent.
Decoupling touch from a sexual romantic relationship:
I do not engage in romantic sexual relationships with clients inside of sessions, outside of sessions or after sessions have ended. I am a certified Wheel of Consent practitioner with 35 years of practice, developing my ethical duty-of-care responsibilities when holding space for another during altered states of consciousness that naturally occur in somatic practices and bodywork. While clothed touch is two-way in intimacy training, all erotic touch is one-way using the wheel of consent.
Choice: These boundaries protect your right to choose your comfort level with somatic practices and bodywork that include your genitals or anus. All professional relationship agreements are co-created at the beginning of each session with an educational/therapeutic contract that defines the step-by-step somatic practices you wish to explore. I facilitate this by providing opportunities to update these at any time to do less than agreed, not more, within each session.
Trauma-informed boundaries:
Trauma responses can occur outside of conscious awareness or precognition. I have 35 years of clinical practice and training that informs my ability to hold space for trauma responses and stay with you as they sequence through and support you in coming back into equilibrium afterwards. These experiences often herald breakthroughs in recognising aspects of the self that are in the process of being recognised.
Spiritual:
Your spiritual affiliations, prayers and the ethical intentions of your spiritual path and higher self are honoured, recognised and accepted by me during sessions, and I do not have intentions to convert you to any other spiritual paths. Your spiritual evolution and sense of belonging within any spiritual collective you know that supports your well-being will significantly inform the therapeutic process, and you will be accepted and included.
Environments with dual social and professional roles:
If we find ourselves in an online or in-person public environment, or private social or training event, or in any public or private social media platform, I will honour your privacy and not approach you or share with anyone present the nature of our professional client-practitioner relationship roles. If we both know we are likely to be in a shared social environment, I will agree with you in advance on what feels most honouring of your privacy.
Communications between sessions:
I understand that the time container of each session contains our relationship agreement for the shared focus of attention together at the same time. I also understand that processing with this focus of attention continues between sessions. Outside of sessions, we do not have the same agreement to share a focus of attention at the same time, as call-and-response communication will occur at different times. We can hopefully easily agree together on the type (eg email or WhatsApp) with approximate timing for responding to communications. These agreements are open for both of us to request updates to support flexibility.
Repair
Repair when a boundary is perceived and experienced to have been breached, or there is a disappointment of expectations: Both of these experiences can feel vulnerable, and I will be supporting you all along throughout your sessions to have the courage to speak up if something is not working for you. This is built into our session structure. Intense emotions are likely to occur in any therapeutic, everyday, or intimate relationship.
This is how we learn what new relationship agreements we need in our lives and how we want and need to be met. I am confident in holding the repair processes with you with the understanding and up-front agreement that a desired outcome, if it is beyond my capacities to meet, may not be met. This is the heart of the work of relationships, honouring each other's needs and wants as well as each other’s limits and capacities. We have a structure to hold these processes called the Five Step Repair Process, and I will offer this Right Use of Power guided 5-step process within your program to support resolving any ruptures that have caused upset. I am a qualified Right Use of Power practitioner and teacher, and will share these repair processes if you wish to engage in them, including the option of a third-party mediator if that would support the process. There is, however, a charge for an external mediator for their time, which would be your responsibility to pay if you wish to take this process out of the container of your program.
Refunds, Payment agreements and cancellation policy
Administration:
There is a charge of £45 for each additional invoice if you are retrospectively wishing to have new copies made, for example, with a change of name or address, for your accounting or claiming on your insurance for reimbursement of your Therapy costs. Creating new invoices or receipts in addition to the one you received from the banking system involves time to create them and extra time with my accountant.
Please read the terms of service in the information slide below.
Katie Sarra may change these policies from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page periodically to stay informed of any changes. These revised policies are effective from July 2026.
